Defination of Yantra

Yantra literally means "instrument". A Yantra is a geometric design acting as a highly efficient tool for contemplation, concentration and meditation. Yantras carry spiritual significance, and point the user to higher levels of consciousness.

The Yantra provides a focal point that is a window into the absolute. When the mind is concentrated on a single, simple object (in this case a Yantra), the mental chatter ceases. Eventually, the object is dropped when the mind can remain empty and silent without help. In the most advanced phases, it is possible to attain union with God by the geometric visualization of a Yantra.

The Yantra is like a microcosmic picture of the macrocosm. It is a focusing point and an outer and inner doorway. The Yantras are often focused on a specific deity and so by tuning into the different Yantras you can tap into certain deities or creative force centers in the universe.
Do yantras have any mystic power?

The mystic power of Yantras has been narrated in many sacred books. Lord Shiva explains to his consort Parvati ,in Mahashiva Puran, that Yantra is as essential to the worship of Gods as a body is essential for a living being and as oil is essential to the oil lamps. A Yantra is helpful in every field of your life, to attain success in your profession, to acquire wealth, peace, goodluck, getting rid of tensions, to win in court cases, to ward off diseases and to progress in meditation. By having a Yantra and keeping it in a sacred place in your house, worshipping it everyday one can fulfil ones desires and attain ones goals.
Energisation (purification) of yantra

Energizing or Sanitizing Yantra is most important process in Yantra remedy. This work is done with utmost care & purity with all the Pooja things at Devshoppe.Puja of the yantras are done by learned purohits, specialised in energising the yantras by the Mantras and Homas. The Puja is done in accordance with the rules and regulations mentioned in the Shastras. The Beej Mantra is recited on the yantra to get it energised and thereafter Homa is performed and Ahutis are given. For more information on energisation process, kindly clickHERE
Benefits of yantras

Energised Yantras Can help a man in thousand ways. These can prove helpful in getting rid of poverty, enemies, anger, bad time, bad effects of planets, diseases and many more. The benefits of yantras are countless. The only condition to avail these benefits is that the bearer should have faith, trust and respect for yantras.By having a Yantra and keeping it in a sacred place in your house, gazing it everyday can fulfill your desires and help in attaining your goals. It is auspicious to see the Yantra daily in the morning and one should lite incense/dhoop or lamp with ghee before the Yantra every morning, and should offer some fresh flowers.
Mantras should be chanted for fast results!
Puja of yantra

Every Yantra is active only when it has been energized. Yantras are associated with the five elements of the world and individual Gods and Goddesses. The ancient texts outline a 16 step invocation and pooja ceremony for the energization of Yantras.

The one who performs the invocation ceremony is called the "Sadhaka". He takes flowers in his hands and they are offered to the specific Deva or Devi the Yantra is associated with. The specific Deva or Devi is called the "Ishtadev or Ishta". The following steps are followed:
The first step is called Poorv Poojan where flowers are offered to the deity while reciting the Bija Mantra (specific mantra of the Yantra):

"Devaye Namah Aavahanam Samarpayam"

Then flowers are offered to the Aasana (The mat on which the Sadhaka is sitting) and the following mantra is recited:

"Devaya Namah Aasanam Samarpayami"

Water is offered to the deity as a symbol of washing their feet by saying:

"Devaye Paydam Samarpayami"

Three Achman (purification of the Sadhaka by sprinkling mantra infused water over himself) while reciting

"Devaye Aaradhye Samarpyami"

Bath is offered to the deity while reciting

"Devsya Asnanam Samarpayami"

Panch Amrit (a combination of five objects: milk, ghee, curd, honey, ganga jal) bath is offered to the deity with the mantra:

"Devaye Panchamritasnanam Samarpayami"

Then begins the Utter Pooja where mantras are recited for the clothes and Yagyopaveet thread (sacred white thread also called "Janeu") that the Sadhaka is wearing.

Gandh(Fragrance) is applied to the deity with

"Devaye Gandh Samarpyami"

Unbroken rice is offered with

"Devaye Akshtaan Samarpyami"

Flowers are offered with the recitation of

"Devaye Pushparni Samarpyami"

Dhoop (Incense) is lighted with the mantra

"Devaye Dhoopam Samarpyami"

Diya (Lamp) is lit and is offered to the deity with the mantra:

"Devaye Deepam Samarpyami"

Fruits are offered while reciting
"Devaye Naivedyam phalam cha Samrpyami"

Pan Supari (Betel leaf and nut) are offered with
"Devaye Tambulam Samarpyami"

For Aarti recite the mantra
"Devaye Pradakshirnam Samarpyami"

Pradakshina(to walk around the main deity and the Yantra) is done thrice with the recitation of this mantra. The pooja and invocation ceremony are finished by a final offering of the flowers and Namaskar with folded hands and with the final recitation of Bija Mantras with specific desires which need to be fulfilled.

The Nabagraha yantra

According to Hindu Vedic Astrology, the unfavorable position of Planets in the Horoscope is responsible for all the hardships and struggles faced by us despite of the hard work and efforts we put in to improve our lives. The placement of the nine planets in the Horoscope points out the karmic influence on the behavior of the individual. Astrologists and Numerologists use this information to suggest remedial measures for appeasing the ill effects of Planets likewearing gemstones or rudrakshas, chanting mantras related to the planet etc.
Research has proved mantra's as a powerful tool for healing. Mantra chanting or even listening to it creates positive vibrations and removes negativity. Navagraha Mantra is the mantra of the 9 planets. In other words,Navagraha Mantra (Navgraha Mantra or Nava graha mantra)  is used to please the planets and influence them positively. Ved Vyas has written mantra's to please the nine planets or navagraha including the Sun, Moon, Rahu and Ketu in actuality are not planets according to the modern astronomy. This is a very popular mantra in Hindu Religion.
Planet  Representations

    •  Sun(surya) represents soul, king, highly placed persons, father.
    • Moon(chandra) represents Mind, queen, mother.
    • Mars(mangala) represents energy, confidence and ego.
    • Mercuryudha(b) represents communication.
    • Jupiter(bruhaspati) represents the great teacher.
    • Venus(sukra) represents wealth, pleasure and reproduction.
    • Saturn(sani) represents learning and Career.
    • Rahu represents an Asura who does his best to plunge any area of one's life he controls into chaos.
    • Ketu represents supernatural influences.

The Dasa Mahavidyas yantra

In Tantra, worship of Devi-Shakti is referred to as a Vidya. Of the hundreds of tantrik practices, the worship of the ten major Devis is called the Dasa Mahavidya. These major forms of the goddess are described in the Todala Tantra. They are Kali, Tara, Maha Tripura Sundari (or Shodasi-Sri Vidya), Bhuvaneshvari, Chinnamasta, Bhairavi, Dhumavati, Bagalamukhi, Matangi, and Kamala. These ten aspects of Shakti are the epitome of the entire creation. Chapter 10 also outlines their consorts, although Dhumavati, the widow form, is not allocated a consort.
There are several “levels” at which these Devis can be worshiped with the prescribed Mantra and Yantra. Like a simple worship of the yantra with the mantra recitation, as a remedial astrological measure, elaborate worship with all tantrak rituals for attaining various siddhis associated with these tantras and for spiritual salvation.
Successful sadhana of these Vidyas gives several boons to the practitioner. The Tantrik-Yogi who has control over his senses and positively inclined uses the boons to guide people and for the benefit of mankind. The ones whose head starts spinning with success use them for the gratification of the senses, gather a bunch of disciples around them and become fake gurus.
The last chapter of todala Tantra equates Vishnu’s ten incarnations with the ten Mahavidyas as follows:
“Shri Devi said: Lord of Gods, Guru of the universe, tell me of the ten avatars. Now I want to hear of this, tell me of their true nature. Paramesvara, reveal to me which avatar goes with which Devi.
“Shri Shiva said: Tara Devi is the blue form, Bagala is the tortoise incarnation, Dhumavati is the boar, Chinnamasta is Nrisimha, Bhuvaneshvari is Vamana, Matangi is the Rama form, Tripura is Jamadagni, Bhairavi is Balabhadra, Mahalakshmi is Buddha, and Durga is the Kalki form. BhagavatÌ Kali is the Krishna murti.” (Todalatantra, chapter 10)
The worship of these is also prescribed as an astrological remedy – for the 9 planets and the Lagna as follows:
Kali for Saturn, Tara for Jupiter, Maha Tripura Sundari (or Shodasi-Sri Vidya) for Mercury, Bhuvaneshvari for Moon, Chinnamasta for Rahu, Bhairavi for Lagna, Dhumavati for Ketu, Bagalamukhi for Mars, Matangi for Sun, and Kamala for Venus.
The tantrik worship of these most powerful Vidyas must be practiced only under the guidence of a siddha Guru.
Kali Tara mahavidya Sodashi Bhuvaneswari.
Bhairavi Chhinnamasta cha vidya Dhumavti tatha.
Bagala siddha vidya cha Matangi Kamalatmika.
Etaaha dasamahavidyaaha gupta vidyaaha prakeertitaaha.
